CAKS Forum: Specific Rules*
This forum has been set up for the enjoyment of Andy Kaufman Fan(atic)s, as a place to discuss ideas of mutual
interest. It was set up intentionally as a moderated forum, so that if or when things go astray of the intended
goal, the moderator can step in to get things back on track.
Our intention is simply to provide an atmosphere that will allow individuals to feel a sense of freedom to express
ideas, free from personal attack, and will still allow the goals of the forum to be met. Those things that will
not be tolerated are personal attacks or intentional demeaning of individuals here, gratuitous foul language (though
if a 'quote' that is truly germain to a discussion contains swear words, it would normally be deemed appropriate,
within reason), pornography in any form (written word or posted files), or generally ANY post which has as its
purpose to demoralize or denegrate the group, or individuals here.
What is encouraged is healthy debate on ideas and issues, as well as the exchange of source materials that others
may find enjoyable. We are not a homogenous group, and it is natural that we will often disagree on ideas, and
healthy (even passionate) debate is instructive to all of us. But let's be sure we limit our arguments to those
ideas, not let them degenerate into attacks on the person expressing the idea.
As far as subject material itself, any subject is fair game as long as two conditions are met: 1). You feel that
it is reasonable to expect that (at least some) others here may some interest and ideas on the subject, and 2).
It does not violate the above groundrules.
Enjoy the forum. Enjoy each other. We are very fortunate to have this interactive forum with such a great group
(present and future) to draw from!!
CAKS Forum: General Rules
You agree, through your use of this Celebrating Andy Kaufman Society (CAKS) forum, that you will not post any material
which is knowingly false, clearly defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented,
threatening, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against
you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent
from the owner of the copyrighted material. However, for purposes of educating fellow CAKS member such as excerpts
of reviews or news articles you have seen. Regardless, if you should want to quote something from another source,
please credit the source when possible. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations
are also inappropriate to this CAKS forum.
Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this CAKS forum. Please remember that we
do not actively monitor the posted messages and are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy,
completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily
the views of this CAKS forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an
administrator of this forum immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable
time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that
we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information
as well.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this
forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at CAKS also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any
information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted
by you.

you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You
also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this
