The Chronic Cough

Grave yard where the flowers bloom...
he sleeps in sweet serenity.
He sleeps forever in the midst
of Dandelion dreams.
The sickness grew like oak trees
in Spring time thunderstorms.
He knew it found him on the day
the chronic cough was born.
Not a tear he cried for it...
Not a word of frightened bitterness
did pass through his sweet lips.
He knew a healing would occur,
and the chronic cough would
fade and blur.
A wave of love enchanted him,
and he began to see...
his life goes on
although he'll fly
to heavenly dwellings of the Great Beyond.
And that is where the chronic cough...
will forever be lost
in the cloudy froth!

The Record Player
----------------
Around they spin...
the records...
the songs of a madman.
Bring on the record player!
Turn it up loud...
provoke the laughter in a massive crowd.
Let the records turn and spin...
like all of our minds when your music begins.
Records of childhood...
a foreign man's sound...
Let them play forever around!
Forever we'll spin
like your records have done...
for you stood by the player
and we knew you had fun!

looking for Andy
----------------
i chase a ghost that may be breathing
and when i hear his name it's not enough

but when you sing i wake in the dream
where music lights where colour spills
in shades of grey
the forest where we're all holding hands
and walking for so long that we've forgotten
where we play

i look for answers on a screen
and see him there not being,
but when you sing in the spaces i find the genius
in a feeling

i see you where you sing
where colour spills where answers fill
no pattern
and there is just fun to get
because you don't play fair
but it's fun
and when it's all done
it will all start again

a child missunderstood
who is andy kaufman some may stop and ask?
if you know a child so eaisly miss understood then you know andy kaufman he could only do good. with a heart so gentle and a love so good he made people laugh or be angry its all good is what he would say. until the day he passed away is it real or is he dead maybe andy kaufman is just messing with our heads, maybe some day we'll see him again if its on earth or when we are dead, andy kaufman was a great guy who could make you laugh until you cried. some say hes a genious others say he's a cook, but all he is is a child misunderstood. so next time some one ask who is andy kaufman i know what i'll say, a child so sweet so gentle, a child misunderstood.
